The Waterways Chaplaincy is a growing national ministry aiming to supplement the work of local Churches by reaching out pastorally to people involved in any way with life on our waterways. We are currently expanding our volunteer chaplains’ network on the Kennett & Avon, and specifically around the Newbury area.
Barbara Davis is based now in the Newbury area with her narrow boat ‘Quiescence’. This will act as a base from which to reach out to local Christians to whom God may be speaking about a ministry outside of the four walls of the church. Our focus week will be from the 11th of June during which we will offer a familiarisation afternoon and evening to which you would be welcome to come and find out more about what is involved in being a Waterways Chaplain.
