The work and ministry of Waterways Chaplains at this time is especially important for those who are isolated and challenged by the crisis. You will be reassured to know that the work of the Waterways Chaplains will be continuing, but to remain within government guidelines a higher proportion of our work will be done by phone, text, Facetime/ Skype and emails. This is not what we would choose but experience suggests that we can continue to offer effective pastoral support through these means.
In Summary, most of our contact during these extraordinary times will be through:
- Phone calls (preferred method)
- Facetime (or equivalent)

- Pray with you if you ask
Waterways Chaplains do not see their activity as a social activity but an essential ministry established by God to show his love and care for others. As they walk the towpath they are supported by the prayers of other chaplains and many Christians. Fundamentally it is in God that we trust.
