A message of encouragement to WWC supporters

From Waterways Chaplain Amanda Allchorn…..

“Over the past 7 years I have had the privilege to serve and support WWC in several ways. From acting as a Consultant, the Staff member at the main Workplace Matters office at the Diocese of St Albans, to being commissioned as a WWC in 2018, covering the GUC between Watford and Hemel Hempstead.

When the Covid pandemic hit 2 years ago, I stepped back as a WWC to focus on the arrival of our 2 beautiful granddaughters…and support our family. So, my passion for WWC was channelled into Prayer Support, along with our dear friend WWC Suzie Hinton-Taylor who passed away last May 2022.

Whilst I have not been able to make any of the wonderful WWC Training & Fellowship events recently, you have all been very much in my prayers. I have loved being part of the Week of Prayer for WWC – wherever I am! Also, any news that is shared – by email and via the Prayer Text messages are very precious.

I would encourage anyone reading this, whether a WWC – active or retired, to keep the ministry and mission of WWC in your prayers. To also speak about WWC to others, who themselves might be able to support WWC either in prayer, giving financially or even becoming a WWC”.
